  • Date update** Rebel Art Club 2022-2023 will have its final meeting on Monday, May 1st after school until 4:30.

    • We will have pizza!

    • We will be creating fun chalk drawings on our campus!

    • Our senior members will be creating a "Senior 2023" area where seniors can take photos on Thursday and Friday as they leave!

    • You must be a member in good standing with the Rebel Art Club to attend this meeting.

    • You MUST RESPOND if you are coming by Wednesday, April 26th at 3:10 to be counted for pizza!

    • So check Google Classroom messages and respond ASAP!

  • Did you forget to order a copy of this year's yearbook? Good news! We have a limited number of extras. Extra yearbooks will be on sale today during both lunch shifts in the library. The cost of the book will be $100 cash. These are available on a first come first serve basis.

  • Our WMHS Senior Awards Ceremony will be held Friday, April 28, beginning at 8:30 AM in the WMHS Auditorium. Community Scholarships, Teachers Awards and Honor Awards will be announced. Students receiving a scholarship or an award will be notified by invitation between Monday, April 24, and Wednesday, April 26. Parents and friends are invited to attend and celebrate!

  • Are you interested in joining the Rebelaire yearbook staff next year? Yearbook staffers get a front-row seat to all of the action that happens at West Monroe High School. Yearbook staff applications are available outside Mrs. Pierce's room (3203 or 6204). Applications are due on Friday, May 5th.

  • Lady Rebels Volleyball tryouts will be held on May 10 & 11. You will need to be at both tryouts with a completed packet. Tryout packets are located on the Volleyball page on gorebs.org. If you have any questions, email Coach Coons.

  • Scholarship News:

    • The Balanced Man Scholarship is provided by Sigma Phi Epsilon fraternity. This scholarship opportunity is available for all Male Students that plan on attending LSU in Fall of 2023. Applicants are NOT required to join this or any other Fraternity to apply. Four scholarships will be awarded ranging from $1,000 to $2,000 each. Deadline is May 13, 2023.

    • The Parker Alexander Attorney At Law Scholarship is due Monday, May 1st. 

    • We also have 5 New Apprenticeship/Training Opportunities available on our Guidance Wall:

      • Electrician Apprenticeship provided by Electrical Training Alliance

      • EMT Classes provided by Acadian Ambulance

      • Dental Assistant Training by Louisiana Dental Institute

      • Correctional Officer Cadet Training provided by LA DOC

      • Plumbing, Pipefitting, Welding, and A/C Refrigeration Apprenticeship Programs provided by Monroe Pipe Trades
